Montville - The Barn Theatre continues its 76th Season with the dramatic thriller, "The Bad Seed." Performances are January
16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 30 & 31, 2004 -- show times are 8:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 3:00pm on Sundays. Ticket price is $15; tickets for senior citizens and students are $14 on Sunday

Based on the novel by William March and adapted for the stage by Maxwell Anderson, "The Bad Seed" tells the story of the Penmark family and their adored, fine graced
daughter, Rhoda. But when a series of strange and tragic events occur in their small southern town, suspicion and treachery point in some strangely unlikely directions, challenging the ties that bind a
family together (or tear them apart). Regarded as one of Broadway's most outstanding and chilling hits, "The Bad Seed" was adapted for the silver screen in a classic, chilling 1956 movie
starring Nancy Kelly and Patricia McCormack.
With direction by Jay Mills (of Denville), the 11-person cast of The Barn Theatre's production of "The Bad Seed" stars 12-year-old Jessica
Minor (of Mahwah) as Rhoda and Liza Harris (of Mountain Lakes) as her mother, Christine. Also starring are (alphabetically): Billy Brisley (of Whippany) as Leroy; Bridget Burke (of Boonton) as Mrs.
Daigle; Chris Dodson (of Montville) as Kenneth Penmark; Paula E. Drew (of Randolph) as Miss Fern; Hannah Hendry (of Caldwell) as Monica Breedlove; Rich Maloy (of Montclair) as Reginald Tasker; Jace
Reiken (of Lincoln Park) as Mr. Daigle; Jerry Sapperstein (of Montville) as Emery Wages; and Jack Sauer (of Caldwell) as Richard Bravo.
The Barn Theatre is located at the end of Skyline Drive in
Montville, just minutes off Exit 47 of Route 287.
