The New Jersey Cardinals (St. Louis Cardinals) defeated the Hudson Valley Renegades by a score of 4-0. The win moves the Cardinals record to 2-0 and drops the Renegades mark to 0-2.
New
Jersey native Brian Flynn picks up the win with three scoreless innings. This is the
Cardinals second shutout in a row, completing 18 consecutive innings. Renegades pitcher Manuel Basillo was
given the loss, pitching five innings and giving up one earned run.
Clinton Chauncey led the Cardinals attack with a double and a single. New Jersey infielder Travis Hanson also
contributed with a two run triple.
