Rockaway - Morris Hills HS, was host to Whippany Park Vs. Cedar Grove in the NJSIAA North 2 Group 1 Championship game on Friday May 31, 2002. The Wildcats mounted a four run bottom of the 6th inning rally to come from behind and win 5-4. The victory sent them to the State Semifinal game where they defeated Becton Regional 4-2 to advance on to the State Championship, held at Toms River North on Saturday June 8, 2:00pm.
