MONTVILLE -
Diane Samuels' gripping drama "Kindertransport" will be presented at The Barn Theatre in Montville from January 11 through January 26, 2002 -- show times are 8:00pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 3:00pm on Sundays. Ticket price is $15; tickets for senior citizens and students are $14 on Sunday performances only.
"Kindertransport" tells the tale of Evelyn a middle aged British woman who, as a child, escaped Nazi terror in 1938, and, as a grown up is forced to
relive her harrowing experience when her own daughter exhumes her childhood treasures and learns of her secret past.
Past and present are tangled in this story inspired by the real-life evacuation of 10,000 Jewish children from Nazi-occupied territory and their subsequent placement in English foster homes.
The play "Kindertransport" has been described by theatre critics as "Extraordinarily moving", "Shattering" and "Powerful."
The Barn Theatre's production of "Kindertransport" is directed by Lauren Moran of LAKE HOPATCONG and stars Virginia Bosch of VERNON, Bridget Burke of
BOONTON, Jeffrey DeChacon of SPARTA, Laura Kennedy of DENVILLE, Elizabeth SheBer of WEST PATERSON and Robin Totillo of BOONTON TOWNSHIP.
