Three County Teams Compete in the Morris Knolls Tournament

Denville - Morris Knolls High School kicked off the wrestling season by hosting the Morris Knolls Tournament, on Saturday December 15, 2001. The contest included teams Morris Knolls; Morris Hills; and Montville from the county along with South Plainfield; North Plainfield; Bogota; Cherry Hill West and Wallkill Valley. (above left) Kris Cacella, of Morris Knolls; has a hold on Mike Peck of Cherry Hill Westin the 140 lb. weight class. Cacella won this first round bracket with an 8-6 decesion. (above right) James McNabb, of Montville; work a hold on Kevin Treuin, of Wallkill Valley in the first round of the 103lb. match. McNabb won 15-0. (left) In the first round 130lb. class, Stephan Gaydarik, of Morris Hills faces Bill Fongeca, of North Plainfield. Gaydarik advanced with a pin at 3:06.
