Chatham - Saturday November 10, 2001, The Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center, held a class to teach

participants how to survive the outdoors.  Class was led by Trail Guide Rich Sofie. The nature students were taught how to read a trail, what to do if you get lost, what plants are harmfull to people, and a chance to see woodland and aquatic wildlife up close. (above left) Daniel Harris, of Cub Scout Pack 64, Dover, examines a section of circulare tree bark, he discoverd along the trail.
