Morristown - Students in the Morris School District's Woodland School celebrated American pride on Thursday, October 18. Dressed in red, white and blue, all 300 of the school's kindergarten through second grade children and their teachers sang a song of "love, and hope, and joy" to parents, guests, and invited dignitaries. The event was planned to honor America and pay tribute to those lost in the tragic events of September 11. Following the program students presented a check in the amount of $641 to the American Red Cross to be contributed to suffering children in Afghanistan, as the president had requested. A copy of the videotaped program will be sent to President and Mrs. Bush.
