A Busy Weekend for

Border Collies At Fosterfields

Morristown - Once again, The New Jersey State Sheep Dog Trials at Fosterfields held their 13th annual event on this 2001 Labor Day Weekend. The Trials were sponsored by the Morris County Park Commission and the Friends of Fosterfields. The trials are qualifying for the Northeast Border Collie Association and the US Border Collie Handlers Association. (above) Gail Jaffa, of Bethlehem NJ with her Border Collie "Trace" compete in the Pro/Novice Class. Thirteenth Annual New Jersey State Sheep Dog Trials at

Fosterfields

Morristown - Once again, The New Jersey State Sheep Dog Trials at Fosterfields held their 13th annual event on this 2001 Labor Day Weekend. The Trials were sponsored by the Morris County Park Commission and the Friends of Fosterfields. The trials are qualifying for the Northeast Border Collie Association and the US Border Collie Handlers Association. The weekend competition consisted of 4 levels, from novice/novice to Open Class. (top right) Gail Jaffa, of Bethlehem NJ with her Border Collie "Trace" walk the flock of sheep into the field for a rest between competitions. (above right & below left) "Shelby" a Border Collie gets to work in the novice/novice class as she takes commands from her handler Cheryl Whitmore, of Gillette.
