On Monday July 30, 2001 Mark Kramer, Executive Director of the Rose House fulfilled a lifelong dream of opening a cafe where disabled persons greet and serve customers. The Rose House, is a non-profit organization, and opened its first vocational program on Monday July 30, 2001 at 2:00pm. Officiating at the ribbon cutting was Senator Anthony Bucco, and Roxbury Mayor Sandy Urgo. The Rose House Cafe', is located at 139 Route 10 in Succasunna, and it employs developmentally and physically disabled individuals at competitive salaries. The cafe will also begin in the fall to train additional develpmentally disabled people to work in fast food restaurants and corporate cafeterias.
