Jefferson -
For over 60 years the story of Dorothy Gale and her adventures along the yellow brick road to the land of Oz have delighted generations of young and old alike. The story is timeless, the message is simple - There's no place like home. And "home" is in the heart. Each encounter Dorothy has on her wind swept journey reinforces the feelings we all have inside us; the need to belong, the need to feel important and the need to feel loved. The Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion all help us remember our own frailties and our never-ending quest to become the best that we can. In every child who sees this delightful story for the first time, there is always one character in particular in which he or she identifies and who delights the imagination.
