Slots Of Fun For A Good Cause

Riverdale - Zeppelin Hobbies and Raceway hosted the Second Annual Benefit Slot Car Race on Sunday January 21, 2001. They were joined by professional drivers and corporate sponsors to raise money for the National Down Syndrome Society, Muscular Dystrophy, and the Injured Drivers Fund. Slot Cars Benefit Charities

Riverdale - Zeppelin Hobbies and Raceway hosted the Second Annual Benefit Slot Car Race on Sunday January 21, 2001. They were joined by professional drivers and other sponsors to raise money for the National Down Syndrome Society, Muscular Dystrophy, and the Injured Drives Fund. 170 people signed in to race with 10 drivers to raise $2150. (above left) Slot cars enter turn one. (left) Wayne Miele, of Campbell Hall, NY has been racing slot cars for 8 years volunteers to do some pit work during the race. (below) Crystal Campagna, of Bergenfield, works on one of her many cars.
