Wednesday night September 6th  at Skylands Park in Augusta, New Jersey, the Auburn Doubledays (Houston Astros) defeated the New Jersey Cardinals (St. Louis Cardinals) by a score of 6-3. The loss drops the Cardinals record to 31-45 while Auburn improves to 32-42.

The Cardinals held a 3-2 lead going into the ninth, but Cardinals closer was touched for four runs on four hits and it spelled the difference. Samora takes the loss dropping his record to 2-3, while Jonathan Krysa improves to 3-4. Santiago Rameriz pitched the 9th for his second save.
