Outfielder Jose Espino grounded a sharply hit ball to third baseman Juan Salas who threw home for the force. Catcher Dan Marsh threw the ball to first baseman Alex Marconi, but the ball went into right field, allowing outfielder Dee Haynes to score the game winner.
