Warms the Spirit

Morristown - First Night Morris County 2001 was a big hit for those who braved the weather.  Many volunteers worked hard to bring a spectacular event to its feet despite the crippling snow storm a day before. (above left) Washington Street is decorated with a splendid holiday flavor. (above right) Agostino & Company presents Heads & Tales with the remarkable artist/performer Christopher Agostino combines storytelling and some amazing face painting to explore the art of transformation. Audience volunteers are transformed by face painting into images from nature and imagination, inspired by mask and body art designs from around the world. Christopher Agostino paints the face of Laura Morehouse, of Parsippany. (middle left) Clowns Cindi-Lou and Dipsy Don't of Apples & Company Childrens Vaudeville Circus.

(right) Performing at the Presbyterian Church on the Green are (l-r) Hans Muhler and Doug Haislip during "Beat the Brass". They are part of the quintet of Solid Brass. Beat the Brass gave an introduction to the instruments in use with a bit of American history mixed in. (below) A crowd gathers on Washington Street to watch ice carving.
